Commission Tiers I - IV
CUSTOM PAINTINGS-COMMISSIONS-SPRING 2026
Only two, possibly three commission spots are now available for next year.
Commissions reopen in Spring 2026 with a very limited number of spaces for collectors seeking deeply personal, meaningful equine artwork. Each piece is created with time, intention, and emotional clarity, so availability is intentionally small to honor the depth of the work.

NOTE: A non-refundable 30% deposit is required to reserve your place and secure your commission in my schedule.

The Heart of This Work
Horses shape our hearts in ways few beings ever do. Whether they still graze in the soft hush of morning or now run through memory, their presence remains, steady, loyal, and full of grace.
These custom paintings are created to honor that presence. Each piece is hand-painted using archival materials and layered earthen textures, reflecting the strength, spirit, and poetry horses bring into our lives.
Some horses never truly leave us. They stay in our breath, in the quiet spaces of our days, and in the hollow of our palm where their muzzle once rested. They walk beside us in memory and in spirit. These paintings are created as tributes to that bond, tangible, beautiful, and deeply personal.
Choose Your Style Tier
Each commission belongs to one of four signature styles listed below, allowing you to choose the experience that feels closest to your horse’s story.

Every tier includes:
• A handwritten ledger entry.
For living horses, this becomes a keepsake record celebrating their story and presence. For those who have crossed over, it becomes an entry in The Next Meadow Ledger, honoring their continued journey beyond this world.

• An optional spirit name added to the Certificate of Authenticity.
A meaningful name we can explore together, guided by personality, memory, stories, or the quiet feeling they carry. It serves as a symbolic reflection of your horse’s deeper essence.

1.) The Majestic
A more traditional portrait option. Likeness, presence, and emotional authenticity.
This realistic style honors your horse’s features, markings, posture, and expression with gentle shading and soulful brushwork.
2.) The DreamWalker
Featuring my signature flowing, wind-touched manes and tails, softly exaggerated or dramatically sweeping, revealing the fire your horse carried within.
3.) The Unbridled
Energy, intuition, and the unseen made visible. This is the most abstract, expressive, and spiritually untethered style I offer. Feathers, color auras, flowing marks, and ceremonial war-paint elements blend into intuitive movement, creating a portrait that feels dreamlike and deeply symbolic. Rather than focusing on outer likeness, The Unbridled channels the horse’s inner world, their fire, and their soul.
4.) The Elemental
A collection box is mailed to you with everything needed to safely return any elements you would like infused into your artwork. Strands of mane or tail, sand or soil, flower petals, blades of grass from your horse’s paddock, or even fresh water from their drinking source can be included. Each element is gently sanitized or processed to remain as archival as possible, then integrated into the paints, textures, or underlayers of your portrait. Full instructions and guidelines are included to ensure everything is gathered with care.
Every Elemental Commission additionally includes:
• A Ritual Origin in writing. A detailed document recording every sacred element infused into the artwork, from earth and water to strands of mane, pigments, and intention. It preserves both the process and the spirit behind your painting, becoming part of the heirloom itself.

Material Based Pricing:
Base materials, crushed and powdered crystals, pigmented sands, mineral pigments, mica, ash, and various materials.
Premium materials, crushed gemstones, rare mineral powders, gemstone dusts, 24k gold leaf, and archival metals vary by rarity, purity, and the amount needed. Some require specialized sourcing or cleansing, which influences the final investment.
Canvas Types:
• Gallery Canvas A professional grade stretched canvas perfect for traditional portraits and lightweight mixed media
• Elite Heavy Duty Canvas A museum level, extra strength build designed to support texture rich or element infused work Highly recommended for the Elemental Tier since it carries the weight of the added texures, elements and archival mediums without warping

The Experience
Each commission is a collaborative, thoughtful process to craft an artwork to be cherished, preserved, and passed down for generations:
• Photo and Story Review
• Style Selection
• Customization of mood, palette, symbolism, and details
• Intentional creation process
• Delivery ready to display and cherish
Time
I do not rush. Commissions typically take between two and six months. The Elemental Tier is the most involved offering I create, and each piece can take up to six months or longer when rare or meaningful elements must be gathered, prepared, or processed. If your spot falls after an Elemental in progress, your timeline may adjust accordingly.
Patience is part of the process. If your Elemental is intended as a gift for a specific date, please plan at least a year in advance.
Every brushstroke is guided by craftsmanship, emotion, and the story you want preserved. Each portrait is created with presence and reverence, which is why availability is limited.
Care, Preservation, and Respect
Each artwork is created with exceptional care.
Archival materials, acid-free surfaces, lightfast pigments, and professional varnishes ensure your piece remains radiant for decades.
Keepsake elements such as mane or tail hair, soil, or water are incorporated with sensitivity and respect, preserving their significance within the layers of the artwork. Your horse’s essence is handled with dignity throughout the entire process.
If your heart is calling for a custom piece, I’d be honored to hear your vision.
